About Basement Sessions
Street Soul Productions are proud to present BASEMENT SESSIONS.
Basement Sessions is a culmination of ideas which resulted in the creation of a bi-monthly podcast in January 2009. The show was created by Vice and Venom, the founding members of Street Soul Productions, a record label based in Birmingham, London, Ipswich and California.
Basement Sessions has developed a number of strands: Digital, Live and as of 2010; The POD
DIGITAL
The digital side of Basement Sessions cover the podcasts, competitions and online presence. The podcasts are spilt into various series and air on Podomatic and Sensei.FM. Offering a blend of exclusive guest mixes, competitions, interviews and the freshest music from the UK and beyond, the shows covers genres from Hip Hop to Soul to Jazz to Funk.
With exclusive interviews, guest mixes, competitions, the show time ranges from 30 minutes to an hour dependant on the format. Due to having no restrictions Basement Sessions DJ’s and guests play what they like, when they like.
With 1500+ hits per month on Podomatic, 30,000+ hits per month (the total of all the sites hits) on Sensei FM, and a solid base of subscribers via I-Tunes, the Basement Sessions podcasts are developing quickly.

The Beat Files: A spotlight on upcoming producers in the UK and beyond (July 2009 onwards)
Basement Soul Sessions: An ecclectic mix of Neo-soul that’s associated to Hip Hop, hosted by Vice, alongside guest hosts (August 2009 onwards)
Around The World in 8 Beats!: A celebration of Worldwide Hip Hop, offering tracks from 8 countries in one show. The selections will be made by Basement Sessions and guests (October 2009 onwards)
Crate Invaders: A series of themed duest mixes from talented DJ’s. This series is being kept under wraps! Stay tuned for more information
